With the imminent return to college and university for students this year many retailers are now showing great interest in providing them with a range of price friendly mobile broadband and broadband offers.

Shops are offering a huge range of deals ideally suited for the tight budgets most students have, with a choice of both broadband and mobile broadband packages that are both cheap and crammed with added extras. One of the key offers that is currently being advertised are the laptop bundle deals and these are being directly aimed at the 400,000 students this year that are returning to university.

There are a whole host of shops offering these special student deals like the popular Phones 4u £45 per month mobile phone offer including a mobile broadband package and a free laptop in the bundle. Also, at the cheaper end of the scale is the deal from Orange, which has a mobile broadband dongle package that will cost £10 per month. Another alternative is from Carphone Warehouse, which is offering a bundled package containing the Nokia 2630 mobile phone along with an Acer laptop with a 15.4” display and an 80GB hard disk drive. There is also an offer from O2 aimed at the student users who wish to work whilst on the move. The offer is a BlackBerry handset with unlimited browsing access for just £35 a month although it is likely there will be a fair usage disclaimer for the “unlimited” internet access.

As part of the initiative by O2 to take its offers directly to the student fraternity it will be sending representatives for the company out on 1st October to more than 30 campuses throughout the UK to show off the launch of their student deals.
